I would easily say that the majority of my extra spending money goes to my kids. One of my favorite spoils is new clothes – particularly fun and sassy! I have two girls and each of them is quite the spitfire so its fun to let that shine through in their clothing.
I was given their newest releases – 2 onesies from their Blessed line. One is a soft baby blue and has gold foil cursive lettering saying “blessed”. The second is black with silver capital and bold foil lettering “#BLESSED”
Unfortunately, due to an oversight, I was not aware that they were only launching in 0-6 months sizing for the time being. Since my daughter currently wears 12m, I cannot show how cute I'm sure they must look on an adorable little squish.
What I can say with confidence is that they are beyond soft. New sensitive baby skin would be very pleased to be in contact with their “100% combed ringspun cotton”. Furthermore, I'm usually wary of gold foil or lettering in general but the quality of that on Fayebeline's onesies is unmatched in my experience.
Oddly, the blue onesie seemed slightly off – when lain flat, with the lettering and seams straight and aligned, the legs/snaps are pretty crooked.
If I force it to line up, one leg hole looks bigger than the other. Again, unfortunately I can't put it on a baby to check its appearance while in action. Its possible that after a few wears and washes, it will all settle into place.
Speaking of washes, although they were never worn, I did run them each through a few wash and dry cycles to test durability. I'm happy to report that even after many loads, I did not experience any loss of color vibrancy and the foil letters are just as strong, without any peeling occurring.
I've been looking over the company and their website for a few months now and I notice that the prices always seem to be 'on sale!' They have stated $49.99 crossed out with $19.99 written next to it, on all the onesies. I'm not sure if this is a tactic to make you feel like you are getting a fabulous deal or if they will eventually go back to their original price of $50. While $20 is still a bit steep for a regular purchase, for an occasional boutique buy, it's well within fair.
However, I cannot fathom spending $50 on a piece of baby clothing – we all know babies are gross! Not to mention they will outgrow them, likely before you've gotten your money's worth. I'm not sure who their target audience is with prices like that, but I imagine it's not everyday parents, like myself.
You can also get a 20% discount and free shipping by clicking on the 'get discount' tab on the bottom right of their website and then clicking to follow them on Facebook and Instagram!

I really like the California Love tee!
ReplyDeleteMy daughters are in college now but I do remember liking onesies a lot when they were baby's. I am guilty of paying too much for adorable clothes for them but not for a little onesie like this. I, like you, can see maybe paying $20 for it but never $50 for a onesie. But maybe if I actually tried this one I would feel differently. Thanks for your honest review.
ReplyDeleteThe prizes are perfect for my best friend's baby, but Party At My Crib is cute, too!
