Review: Dear Baby Rapid Hair Growth Treatment

I had baby number two, 10 months ago. With that, came all kinds of super fun postpartum details, some of which I don’t even remember occurring after my first-born! Namely, the influx of new baby hairs. I remember the hair loss after the hormonal dump, but I don’t recall the insanely slow regrowth.

Before - this is not cute!
I am not one to use to much hair product at all, but was starting to feel like my only option was to douse my head in a bottle of hair spray daily to stop looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket.

Then I came across Dear Baby all natural Rapid Hair Growth Treatment! I crossed my fingers a hoped so badly it would work.

Here is a list of whats in it and WHY it works:

“Castor Oil is high in Vitamin E and Omega 6 fatty acids. It is also high in ricinoleic acid, which increases circulation to the scalp, helping with hair follicle generation.

Avocado oil is a mild oil that does not leave a greasy residue, so it is perfect for relieving dry, itchy, and sensitive skin.

Coconut oil has a high moisture retaining capacity so it acts as an excellent moisturizer. Its antifungal properties also are a great treatment for dandruff and dry scalp.

Bitter Almond oil is a natural fragrance that comes from apricot kernels. It gives our Dear Baby products their signature light almond/cherry scent.”

The first time I used it, I was completely intoxicated by the smell alone. It somehow manages to smell of each one of its ingredients separately, and at the same time. Avocado, almonds, coconuts. It says to let it sit for 30 minutes, or up to overnight. I massaged it into my scalp, then down to my ends. For my length and thickness, it took about 4-5 palmfuls of the treatment. I ended up leaving it sit for roughly 6 hours.

I was a little unsure about how easily it was going to wash out. My hair was clearly very oily/greasy feeling after application. However, using my LUSH shampoo bar, it came out with complete ease.

After my shower, my hair felt incredible soft! I was only saddened the my shampoo bar overpowered the scent. I would have happily had my hair smelling of this treatment long after being washed out.

I have only used as a mask treatment, though their page touts its benefits as a split ends treatment as well. Simply apply to the ends of your hair during styling to help seal splits.

A few weeks in, I did start to notice that the hairs were a bit longer, and less wispy.

I have been using this treatment about 3 times a week, for a little more than a month (so far!) As much as I’d love to be using it daily, I don’t always get 30 minutes notice that I can sneak away from the kids for a shower. I still have about a half bottle left, which I definitely intend on finishing.

I wish I could say with more certainty that this product has helped my hair grow.

For starters , I was so concerned with the unsightly baby hairs up front, it never even dawned on me to measure the length of the hair as a whole.

MUCH better!

The hairs have definitely gotten longer. Now I can play them off as bangs as long as it isnt too windy. I don’t know how to be positive that it was thanks to this product or just a naturally occurring growth due to time.

I will say with certainty that I do love this product regardless. It had made my hair softer, I believe it has made it fuller, and even more so, it has seemed to really help soften my scalp and keep dandruff at bay!! That is an added perk I did not anticipate. I recommend this product, completely.

Another amazing perk, is that it doesn’t matter if you are still pregnant, or on your breastfeeding journey…no need to wait to use all natural, safe Dear Baby products!

A bottle of this wonderful stuff costs only $15!

I only wonder, can I actually use this ON the baby…because this girl doesn’t have a whole lot going on in the hair department! Haha!

  2. Hmm, I wonder if I should try this. I've given birth to 6 full term babies. My fourth died shortly before birth. Needless to say we were devastated. Along with the grief came a lot of unexpected physical things. One of which was a ton of my hair falling out, and I don't mean the normal post-birth amount. You could see my scalp through my hair in a horseshoe pattern. When it finally did start to grow back, it grew in sparse, even thinner than my usual fine strands, frizzy and brittle. I still recall the first time my hairdresser aunt cut my hair a couple of years after it fell out. She literally gasped and asked what happened to my hair when she took it out of the ponytail to brush it. :'( I've tried a few things that sort of worked. Prenatal vitamins help a bit I think and so does dying my hair with henna. I would love to be able to help my hair along even more and natural is always better IMO. I'll have to check this product out.
