Our dinner last night was an easy and delicious meal of Balsamic-Mustard Pork Tenderloin, with Apples and Sauerkraut, but Michael had a very unfortunate accident. This recipe calls for a pan that can go from stove-top to oven, and even though he had just removed it from the oven, he forgot and gripped the pan handle. Ow!! I've done that before, and it's amazing how quickly our brains go to auto-pilot. So if you try this, be very careful! He wound up spending the entire evening gripping a bag of ice.

Grain-Free Cinnamon-Chai Mini Donuts
One of the hardest parts of eating grain free, I think, is when it comes to desserts - I've been really missing having the occasional donut, so I figured it was time to try making some. I'd bought a mini-donut pan awhile back but didn't try using it until today. It worked very nicely!

I feel very honored to be able to review a new party-based company, One Earth. One Earth is based in Canada, but can offer on-line parties to clients in the United States, and it just started scheduling parties and taking direct orders from customers in July, 2013. One Earth provides a unique line-up of products, focusing on fair trade imports that help Moroccan artisans and small business owners find a market for their goods. While their current focus is on Morocco, and have plans to highlight other countries as well later on.

The first time I heard of tallow, it was while reading one of the Little
House on the Prairie books as a young girl, and they were talking about
bear fat. If I thought about tallow at all, I assumed it came from
bears, was used only to make candles back in the 'olden days', and that
was that.
