Review/Giveaway EcoAble Diaper Cover

Like clockwork, I’m here to tell you about another wonderful EcoAble diaper I had the immense pleasure of testing out.

This time, we switched it up a bit and tried a cover.  I’ve tried EcoAble’s All-in-One (one single piece, no removable liners, basically the equivalent of a reusable disposable), and All-in-Two (a shell with soft inner lining, with a snap in liner, pocket sleeve for additional stuffing, the liner alone can be swapped out at diaper changes). A diaper cover is a bit different, as it is just a thin waterproof shell and very versatile.

I chose the Rockstar print (ABC was a close second! Fabric prints roll over quickly, sadly, and neither of these are currently available) As usual, my order arrived just days later. It was beautiful! It's white with large royal purple tabs, and a print filled with 3 electric guitars in a pattern, blue, pink, and purple and hot pink snaps. It was super soft on the outside, and clearly waterproof on the inside.

My favorite part, as always, was the double leg gussets. I just love the peace of mind it gives knowing that no matter what mess occurs on the inside, I don’t have to worry about it coming to the outside.

As I mentioned, covers are very versatile cloth diapers. You can put them over top of fitteds to create a waterproof liner, use with a prefold/flat, use alone as a swim diaper, or just place a liner in there. I’m not a big fan of prefolds and Snappi’s anymore, so I was using this cover with thick natural fiber liners and it has been wonderful.

Diaper covers are also inherently more cost effective than other styles as well because you don't need one ready for each diaper change. You can honestly keep it for many changes in a row, because the entire thing is water proof. What this means is that in most cases, you can simply just wipe/spray it down and replace the liner and its good as new.

A big difference between the EcoAble cover and over covers I have is the flap on either side of the diaper, front and back. Many covers have a bit of space to tuck just the ends, but EcoAble’s was nice and deep. This way you don’t have to worry about the liner shifting, causing leakage. It also just helps contain any messes that do occur.

I’m excited (and ever so slightly ashamed) to admit that I used this diaper a handful of times before realizing that it had a snap for a liner! I’ve seen covers like this before, but for some reason I just never thought to look. I have a snap in charcoal bamboo liner that came with the AI2 that works wonderfully with it. I will have to purchase some more EcoAble liners for sure! One thing I did notice is that oddly enough, other brands of snap in liners I have, won’t snap in. They don’t click well, and don’t stay stuck together.

This diaper quickly became a ‘first grab’ when clean and I will certainly be adding more EcoAble covers to my growing stash! They can be purchased for just $12.50! Add that to a 5 pack of charcoal bamboo snap in liners for $16.55 and you have yet another amazing deal from this company!
