Review: Wookiwoo, I Love You
Reviewer ~ Jackie Snider
I was excited to get a chance to review another children’s book. As previously mentioned, reading is the favorite past time of my daughter and me. Thankfully, Wookiwoo, I Love You did not disappoint! Wookiwoo, written by Darren Perman and illustrated by Ruby Perman, is inspired by a true story. The parrot highlighted in the book, along with its family can be found flying treetop to treetop in Malibu, Ca.

Spicy Slow Cooker Peanut Chicken
A few nights ago, Michael made dinner for me, using one of his favorite cookbooks: The Healthy Slow Cooker: More than 100 Recipes for Wellness and Health, by Judith Finlayson.
I have a sort of default leeriness of cookbooks that bill themselves as 'healthy'. I have a few of them, but all too often, 'healthy' translates to making limp versions of otherwise good recipes by switching to low fat dairy products and various chemical fake sugars, neither of which I regard as 'healthy'.

Review: Mouthman Apparel
Reviewer ~ Jackie Snider
I usually don’t click the side bar ads on Facebook, if I even notice them, that is. However, when I saw Mouthman I was too intriguing to scroll by. I found myself getting lost on their website for a good long while, and eventually contacting about a review. I spent about a week in contact with an extremely pleasant woman named Suzie, working out the details of the product I would review.

No-Grain Quick Bread Squares
Very simple dinner last night - spicy chili and this 'corn' bread.
There is no cornmeal in it, actually, and although it tasted delicious, a
few seasonings to make it more savory would have worked very well - and
a few sweet seasonings would have just as happily rendered it into a
tasty snack cake dessert.
