Review/Giveaway: Wet Rubz
Don't Panic, It's Organic! What a slogan, huh? Wet Rubz is an All Organic, Gluten- Free, GMO free marinade... It is full of Garlic, Onions, Pepper, Herbs and Olive Oil... that is it! Their Santa Maria Style marinade is a new take on the traditional marinades you find in the grocery store, but 100% healthy and delicious. This product is great on Chicken, Steak, Shrimp, Pork and especially, Tri Tip!
I received my bottle of marinade just in time for my camping season! My family and I spend every other weekend camping in the desert during Fall/Winter. We always have one night of BBQ chicken or some kind of meat. What better way to test this product than surrounded by family and friends?
I threw half a bottle of the marinade in a bag full of frozen chicken breasts and used the other half on another bag of frozen pork chops... I let them sit for a total of 2 days each before using them. I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE when the meat I'm BBQing is dripping in sauce and not all dried out.
The first night we put the chicken onto the BBQ! It was so incredibly juicy and flavorful that everyone was coming back for seconds (and thirds).
I had almost everyone asking me what kind of seasonings I put on the chicken... I couldn't take credit for it and had to let them all know about Wet Rubz!
This is definitely a marinade that I would like to try on all types of meats in the future.
The second night, we cooked the pork chops in the oven. I first seared them on the stove and then finished them up in the oven (at 375 degrees). The pork chops also turned out so moist and delicious, even my kids were asking for more "chicken" .
When I go to the grocery store and try to find a marinade (usually for my chicken), I am overwhelmed with the number of choices that are filling the shelves.
So many choices, so many extra ingredients that I have no idea what the heck they are or what their purpose is. This product is so cut and dry with its few ingredients. You cannot go wrong with all natural ingredients! Your product tastes clean, flavorful and there is no tinge of artificial flavoring that you find in some other products.
Right now you can only purchase their product in stores based in CA or on their website for only $7.99 a bottle!
They also have only the one flavor at the moment but the chef is currently working on two more styles that should hopefully be open to the public soon!! Check out their website to get up to date information on their upcoming products. I will definitely be stocking up on this product to use in the future. This will be a great addition to have when it comes back to summer and all the BBQs!
Thanks for giving me the chance to test your product Wet Rubz - I am a fan!

Their recipe for Wet Rubz Organic Santa Maria Seared Center-cut Pork Loin with Wet Rubz Wild Rice and Broiled Bacon Wrapped Asparagus looks delicious to me! I'm all for anything that helps pork cook up tender!
ReplyDeleteThe rubs look yummy, but I admit I'm kind of amused that their labels stress that their meat rubs are vegan. I think vegan marinade probably isn't something most meat eaters are worried about...
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
DeleteOur home town is Santa Cruz,CA, a small laid back beach community where many people keep a Vegan lifestyle. For this reason, we included that our marinade is Vegan. Wet Rubz Santa Maria Marinade is Organic, Gluten-Free, Dairy Free, Kosher and yes, even Vegan. Many people love our Santa Maria marinade on all types of protein such as meat and chicken, but it is equally delicious on many vegetables, such as: Fingerling Potatoes, Eggplant and Portobella Mushrooms. When used on vegetables, it is a Vegan dish. Check out our web-site for recipes! Thanks for your interest. - The Wet Rubz team
